1-4-3
Date 2025Material ClayCeramic is a practice I adopted in my last semester of college. Learning this medium taught me about the slow process of production, neither rushing nor waiting, guiding me to a disciplined pace of making. I often feel exposed like the raw material, which taught me to have patience with myself and the clay itself.
1-4-3 is the address of the building I lived in during my time in college. As children we play “tea party”, as adults we pour into each other's cups— it means so much– and I intend to continue doing so even when we’re all too old to hold the cups ourselves.
The ceremony held was a dedication and devotion, a walk through memory and years of holding each other, and a promise to continue to do so. A thread running through me.
